Judith Tahaney, 82, of St. Joseph passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home. Per Judith's request she asks that her family and friends wear colorful clothes to celebrate her new life in heaven.
A celebration of life eternal will be at 4:30 p.m., on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Glenn Rosenbaum officiating. Visitation will be 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Michigan Lutheran High School. Those wishing to share a memory of Judith online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Judith was born on July 6, 1940 in Benton Harbor to Wallace and Helen (Schiman) Warren Sr.
She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1958.
On April 30, 1960, she married Robert Tahaney at Grace Lutheran Church. They were married for 53 years before his passing in 2013. She and Robert spent many years traveling in their motor home and at their second home in Zephyrhills, Fla.
Judith loved baking and made many cakes for people over the years. She also was the bakery manager for Rogers Foodland for many years. Judith spent many years volunteering at the North Lincoln Baseball League working the concession stands. She also enjoyed playing cards, quilting, knitting, baking cakes and Christmas cookies. Most of all she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Judith is survived by her four children: Robert (Michelle) Tahaney, Timothy (Anne) Tahaney, Tracy (Michael) Rock, and Kelly (Jeffrey) Watson; 12 grandchildren; Kayla, Dylan, and Daniel Watson; Rachel Jewell; Samantha, Melanie, and Brendan Rock; Madison (Michael) Faulkner; Travis and Jake Tahaney; Joshua and Hannah Tahaney; and brother, Robert (Linda) Warren.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Tahaney; brother, Wallace Warren Jr., and stepsister, Cynthia Bacquet.
