Lorrene Star Hunt, 62, of Hartford passed away Monday, March 31, 2025, at her home.
Lorrene was born Nov. 21, 1962, in South Bend, Ind. Her parents were Warren Putnam and Clara Munson, both of whom preceded her in passing. Also preceding her in passing is a brother, Clifford Munson.
Lorrene was formerly employed with C.J.'S Bar, now Big Twin Bar in Hartford, and was a cashier at the Dollar General also in Hartford. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her garden, however, her most enjoyable times were spent with her children and grandchildren. They all loved going to the zoo.
Lorrene leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children: Nicole (Jeremy Woolf) Hunt, Hailey Hunt, Warren (Tina Sewell) Hunt and Natashia (Travis Farris) Hunt; 10 grandchildren: James Woolf, Jersey Woolf, Matthew Henry, Eric Hunt, Chasitie Farris, Alanah Hunt, Warren Hunt, Charlie Hunt, McKenzie Hunt and Cassidy Luttrell. Also surviving are two brothers: Harold Munson and Johnny Munson and a sister, Lillian Turnbull.
As to Lorrene's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome friends from noon-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at The Church Keeler where a memorial celebration of life service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jesse Maya officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make any memorial donations to the family. The Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, is assisting with arrangements.
