Marlan McIntire Obituary
Marlan Tahran McIntire, 57, of Stevensville passed away on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, MI.
Marlan was born in Little Rock, Ark., on Oct. 28, 1967.
Marlan is survived by his significant other of 17 years, Lisa Elverd; his son, Marlan Jr., of Benton Harbor; mother, Rosie Saunders of Conway, Ark.; father, Richard McIntire of Missouri; brothers: Stephan (Carol) McIntire, Richard McIntire III, Robert (ShaReece) McIntire and Darius Saunders; sisters: Stephanie McIntire, Decoria Saunders, Doneshia (Donald) Sudduth and Donielle Saunders and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Rachael McIntire.
Marlan attended St. Louis Public Schools preceded by eight years of Catholic schooling. He was a certified genius, very ambitious and courageous. He enjoyed his job at Hoffman Die Cast and avidly mentored young people. Marlan loved and protected his family and will be greatly missed.
Visitation with the family will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. A celebration of life service will follow at 1 p.m. and burial concludes in Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville.
