Michael Scott Grammel, 60, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, at his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1962, in Benton Harbor, the son of Karl and Norma (Fearnley) Grammel.
He married Mary Karsten on Nov. 10, 1984, in St. Joseph.
Michael worked as a plant manager for Chardon Custom Polymers.
He had a passion for cooking and everything stopped when "The Godfather" movie came on. Family meant everything to him and he most enjoyed time spent with them playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Mary "Mim"; daughter, Megan (Jeff) Truesdell, son, Marc (Cassy) Grammel; grandchildren: Elise, Jacob, Julia Truesdell, Tristyn, Taidyn, Tailyn-Gray Jackson; mother, Norma; and siblings: Janis Allen, Steve (Deb) Grammel, Pat Sage, Charlie Grammel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Grammel; sister, Susie Blaylock; brother, David Grammel; and nephew, Christopher Allen.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, National Center, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
