Mildred Archer, 96, of Berrien Springs passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
A celebration of life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Heritage Chapel, 8747 U.S. 31, Berrien Springs with Pastor Nathan Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the funeral home.

Mildred was born Sept. 3, 1925, in Enola, Ark., to Rufus and Bessie (Phillips) Casey.
On Dec. 6, 1941, she married Arthur Archer in Lake City, Ark.
Mildred was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. She loved playing poker with her family, especially her grandchildren. They teased that grandma gave them money for Christmas and won it back from them in the afternoon. She was also famous for her cooking especially her biscuits with chocolate gravy, banana cream pie and fried peach pies.
Mildred is survived by her children: Byrum "B.D." (Judy) Archer, Brenda Wells Clarke (Alan), Shelia (Richard) Hoyh and Carlton (Robin) Archer; five grandchildren: Rhonda (Jason) Whitt, David (Vicki) Archer, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Hoyh, Jason (Angela) Hoyh and Katie Archer; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Russell Casey, Hazel Fairchild, Norma Jane Varner, Randell Casey and Jewell Quisnel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren: Jonathan Archer and Richard Wells and seven siblings.
