Morgan Arthur Ondrus, 36, of Union Pier passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022.
Morgan was born on Aug. 6, 1986, and lived in the area his entire life.
He was a 2005 graduate of New Buffalo High School.
Morgan is survived by his mother, Margaret (Marji) Ondrus; his grandmother, Jessie Ondrus; sister, Ondrea (Ondi) Ondrus, and uncle, Arthur Ondrus, all of Union Pier; and by his sister, Rachael (Conor) O'Brien of Seattle. Also surviving are nephews: Andrew and Shawn O'Brien; and nieces: Jordan Crawford and Reese Watkins. With his passing, Morgan leaves behind many friends and cousins.
From an early age, Morgan loved anything with an engine. He was passionate for trains at an early age, then tractors, ATVs, and motorcycles as an adult. He loved animals, especially the family dog. He was employed as a plumber.
He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed as a loving son, grandson, brother and uncle.
Visitation with the family will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. Private family services will be Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo, with the service at noon followed by burial at 1 p.m.
