Roger Glen Reeves, 85, of Benton Harbor passed away on Nov. 24, 2025, surrounded by his family. His children were blessed for having such a loving dad. Roger accepted Jesus Christ as his savior, where he had attended Crystal Springs Church of God in Benton Harbor.
Roger was born and raised in Benton Harbor. While in school, he helped his dad on their fruit farm. After high school graduation, he worked at F.P. Rosback before working at Gast Manufacturing for 10 years, then returned to F.P. Rosback where he retired after 40 years. He was a hard worker and provider. He loved life and his family.
After being previously married and having three children, Roger met and married Gloria Adcock Hiler in 1973. They shared 52 years of marriage and five children. Rodney (Gail) Reeves, Michael (Sheryl) Reeves, Teresa (Matthew) Kelly, David (Sue) Hiler, Roger (Lynda) Hiler.
Roger was a member of the Blizzard Brigade Snowmobile Club because he loved snowmobiling. He loved playing horseshoes and bowling. He went to family baseball, basketball and football games for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed bird watching, and watching old western movies, football and softball. He was a true Michigan State Spartan fan. He owned a cabin for 30 years with Loren and Beverly Burkett on Little Star Lake, in Baldwin, Mich. He loved spending time at the cabin gathering with family and friends, grilling and cooking for everyone.
He leaves behind his wife, Gloria Reeves; brother, William Reeves Jr.; brother-in-law, Rev. Ross Tarantino; sister-in-law, Joyce Ballard; brother-in-law, Bill (Linda) Adcock. Grandchildren: Kayla Ott, Cameron Reeves, Amanda (Matt) Ernzen, Zachary Reeves, Jesse Kelly, Ali Kelly, Liza Kelly, Dean Hiler, Rachael Bower, Andrea (Jeremy) Horton, Tony Hiler, Jordan Winans, Analyse Winans, Ben Wierenga, Stephanie Faulkner; great-grandchildren: Chloe and Paisley Hiler, Bennett Bower, and many nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by sibling, Michael Reeves; parents: William Sr., and Violet Reeves; sister, Ruthann Tarantino; brother and sister-in-law, Loren and Beverly Burkett; brother-in-law, Zan Ballard; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Frances Adcock; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Bower.
Family will receive guests from 11 a.m. until the celebration of life service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Duffield and Pastrick Funeral Home, 6548 Paw Paw Ave., Coloma.
