Bobbie Glasgow Obituary
August 8, 1935 - May 22, 2025
Monroe, North Carolina - Mrs. Bobbie Jean Glasgow, 89, passed away May 22, 2025. She was born August 8, 1935 to the late Woodrow Arthur Sanderford and Tora Nichols Sanderford. After graduating from Oak Grove High School in 1954, Bobbie went on to meet the love of her life, Mike, while he was serving in the Army. Bobbie was the true definition of an Army wife. She took care of the children and the home for 25 years of the 29 years he was in service. She was a member of the Army Community Service Center and volunteered in multiple service clubs. Additionally, Bobbie worked in the office of the Army Emergency Relief and received a pin of honor for her 2500 hours of community service. Bobbie will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 4:00pm until 4:45pm. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3712 Cheek Road, Durham, NC 27704. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her brothers, Woodrow Sanderford, and Jackson Sanderford. Bobbie is survived by her beloved husband, Mike Glasgow, daughter, Tamara Bratton (Steve) of Dalton, GA, son, Donald James Glasgow (Kathleen) of Monroe, NC, little sister, Patti harper (Richard) and family of Sylva, NC, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Glasgow Family.
