John Casey Palmer

John Casey Palmer, 43, of 154 Allensville Rd., Roxboro, died Sunday, July 1, 2018. Born in Durham County, Mr. Palmer is the son of Becky O'Briant Palmer, of Roxboro and Donnie T. and Rose Ann Palmer of Durham. Mr. Palmer worked at Trang's Restaurant. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 260 where he received the Order of the Arrow, Vigil and God & Country. Mr. Palmer was an artist who enjoyed painting and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Clifton Thomas Palmer.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Palmer is survived by two brothers, Chris Palmer and wife Wendy, of Hurdle Mills and Jason Palmer and wife Charity of Mebane; one sister, Marianne Neufang and husband Nathan, of West Monroe, LA; his nieces and nephews, Jensen Palmer, Bryce Neufang, Evan Neufang, Elise Palmer, Nora Palmer, Sadie Palmer and Millie Palmer; and his step-grandmother, Ann Rodriguez, of Durham.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at New Brook United Methodist Church by the Pastor Everett A. Gardner, the Pastor Tyler Daniel, and the Rev. Jason Palmer. Burial will follow in Burchwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at New Brook United Methodist Church prior to the service and at other times at the home of Chris and Wendy Palmer, 489 Hassell Horton Rd., Hurdle Mills.
