Lisa Dewey Obituary

Cary, North Carolina - Lisa Beth Dewey passed away peacefully at home on the morning of August 21, 2021.
She was born on May 24, 1965 in Kettering, OH, the daughter of Gloria K. Dewey and the late Monte F. Dewey. She graduated from Jordan High School in Durham, NC.
Lisa attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, studying business administration. After college, she worked at Wachovia Bank in Chapel Hill.
Family meant everything to Lisa. She helped care for her father during his long battle with Alzheimer's.
Lisa had a warm and kind manner, with a playful sense of humor. She was an avid reader, and a master of puzzles and games. She loved the North Carolina beaches, which she visited throughout her life.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Gloria Dewey of Cary, with whom she lived; her sister Kimberly Shipes and her husband Steve of Cary, NC and their children Carter and Hampton, and her brother Mark Dewey of Austin, TX and his wife Jill and their children Henry and Evelyn.
The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.

I am so sad and so sorry to learn about Lisa's passing. I can't imagine my 20's and 30's without her and even though miles separated us for the past few years, I always loved and cherished our time together. Working together at Wachovia, our 3rd Thursday group, girls' nights, she was with me when I fell in love for the first time... She will be missed. She will be always be loved. May she find peace.
