Olga Ferrante-McCoy Obituary
March 5, 1944 - April 2, 2023
Wake Forest, North Carolina - Olga McCoy passed peacefully at home in the company of loved ones on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
She was the daughter of Ivan and Vera Chigirovich of Belarus.
The Chigirovich family immigrated to New York City from Belarus after World War II.
They settled in New Jersey where Olga attended South River High School and went on to graduate from NYU.
She made her career in IT and moved to California in 1984, where she met her husband, Frank "Spank" McCoy.
They married in 1985 and relocated to Wake Forest, NC, in 1992.
As a passionate animal lover, over the years in Wake Forest she provided forever homes for ten dogs and two cats.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Spank; her brother, Serge Chigirovich of Trenton, NC, and his family; her sister, Sonia Byczkowski of Wake Forest, NC, and her family.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers or other memorials, please contribute to Alzheimer's Association.
