William M. Pickens, 36, of Durham passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2017. He is survived by his parents, Peter and Ona Pickens and brother Stanton Pickens of Chapel Hill.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in his honor to the Museum of Life and Science. 433 W. Murray Avenue Durham, NC 27704

Peter, Ona, Stan:
There are no words to express the sorrow felt for your loss. Will was a genuinely kind person and had an almost spellbinding effect on those around him. We are fortunate to have as much time with him as we did. And although he is gone too soon we will always have the best memories of him in our hearts. I am sincerely sorry for your loss.
