Reverend Zelda B. Kennedy, 71, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion. Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St Philips Episcopal Church, 403 E. Main St. Arrangements by Burthey Funeral Service.

I am saddened to learn of Zelda's passing. Zelda and I worked together for the City of Durham for a while. What a loss. I looked forward to her returning to Durham for retirement. April, your mother was so proud of you and so am I.

Zelda was a great friend and a great colleague in City of Durham Human Resources. We stayed in touch during her school years and during her time in Pasadena,CA. She is truly missed

I was so heartbroken to hear of Zelda's passing. She was a beautiful soul and a shining light in my life.
We met at St. Patrick's in Mooresville where she was the Curate. I was privileged to be present at her ordination into the priesthood. Zelda baptized me and then married my wife, Lou Ann, and I in 2014. Her smile was infectious and her hugs were memorable. Heaven has gained an angel deserving of His love. She will always be in my heart.
