Anita Knox Moltz, 84, of Sarasota, FL, died on Mar. 5, 2013.
Anita was born in West Chester, PA where her father, the late George M. Knox and mother, the late Aneita (Brous) owned the Knox Dairy and the Knox and Marshman trucking company. Anita attended the West Chester High School, and received a B.S. in Education from West Chester State Teachers College. Anita worked for Dupont before she married the love of her life, Theodore Moltz. Together they raised their family in Hudson, Ohio and Holland, PA. In 1993 they moved to Sarasota where they took up sailing and became active in the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. Anita's volunteer efforts included the OES Order of the Eastern Star, West Chester, PA; LOS/SAR-I #79 and served as Treasurer of MerrieMakers for 16 years. Anita was a faithful member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was the last surviving sibling of three brothers, Reed, George, James and sister, Jeanne Hauser. She is survived by her son, Tobin (Cindy) of Pottstown, PA and daughter, Marianne Sands (Randy) of Brookeville, MD and four granddaughters, Kristie and Katherine Moltz and Lauren and Yardley Sands. Anita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was taken quickly and will be missed deeply. A Memorial Service will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sahib Temple, 600 N. Beneva Road, Sarasota, Florida 34232 for the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Tampa.
