Oct. 16, 1924 - Dec. 24, 2007

Arthur W. Sanchez, 83, Venice, formerly of Tampa, died Dec. 24, 2007.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Ewing Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Venice Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife Lydia; a daughter, Linda Hatchitt of Venice; a son, Robert; brothers Onelio, Oscar, Evelio, Anthony, Jose, Renaldo and Antonio; a sister, Rosalia; and grandchildren Curt, Brian and Rachel.
Arthur moved to Venice 45 years ago from Tampa. He worked at the Venice Island Publix for many years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He belonged to the American Legion.
