McDevitt, Audrey Lucille

Audrey Lucille McDevitt, 93, of Sarasota, formerly of Coshocton, Ohio, died Nov. 16, 2010.
A memorial Mass will be held locally at a later date. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coshocton. Packer Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of local arrangements.
She was the daughter of Sidney and Elizabeth Turner. Mrs. McDevitt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Robert J. McDevitt; a daughter, Patricia; brothers Raymond, Carl and John Turner; an infant sister; mother and father-in-law, George and Delilah McDevitt; sisters-in-law Anna McDevitt and Ada Pigman; and a brother-in-law, Ambrose McDevitt.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan of Tallahassee;
sisters-in-law Rita McGuire of Fostoria, Ohio, and Mary Snow and Evelyn Turner of Coshocton; 12 nieces and nephews, Mike (Peggy) McDevitt, Mark (Betty) White, Jack (Carolyn) Pigman, Glenda (Mike) Corcoran, Jim (Deborah) Pigman, Kay (Eric) Dahlberg, Mollie (David) Osborne, Amy (Brad) Gilliams, Mary (Gary) Brown, David (Beth) Snow, Bob (Joanne) Turner, and Ed Turner; and numerous great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sarasota. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club in both Sarasota and Coshocton and was a volunteer at Senior Friendship Center in Sarasota. She and her husband were members of National Specialty Association and participated in fundraising activities for the American Heart Association and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
For 35 years, Mrs. McDevitt and her husband owned and operated Social Supper Inc., a former division of American Art Works, Style Craft Products, a former division of Shaw-Barton, and Social Light Candles in Dresden, Ohio. They produced decorative trays, servers, glass and ceramic ware for gift shops and the specialty advertising industry. They also specialized in the production of scented candles for American Greetings.
She enjoyed and actively participated in many bridge clubs, including Slick Chicks, the Alums, and Club 60. She was an avid Ohio State and Notre Dame fan.
She was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 7900 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34241-6305, in her memory.
