Bobby Lemisch Obituary

Lemisch, Bobby
October 8, 1934 - July 6, 2018
Bobby Lemisch (nee: Barbara Rose) of Sarasota died Friday at her home after a stroke. A native of Brooklyn, NY, she moved to Miami Beach as a teenager and attended the University of Miami.
After her marriage to Anthony (Tony) Lemisch, the couple lived in Nashville, TN, before moving to Philadelphia, where she worked in advertising sales and entertainment event planning and promotion. She moved to Sarasota 21 years ago and was a volunteer docent at the Ringling Museum of Art and Ca' d'Zan and was active in the Democratic Party.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy Lemisch of Los Angeles; sons Anthony Lemisch of Ocala and Todd Lemisch of Sarasota; sister Sue Rose Schultz of Lakeland; and granddaughters Rose and Zoe Gittelson of Los Angeles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, and her parents, Samuel and Fay Rose. A private memorial service will be scheduled. The family suggests memorial gifts to Planned Parenthood, RAICES, or the Natural Resources Defense Council.

We have all lost a wonderful caring and special friend who made our world a better place. I shall miss comparing notes on books, politics, and our grandkids in California. Most of all I shall miss Bobbie.

Bobbi was a dear friend for 50 years. She was fun, generous, loving and cared deeply for everyone. She was a champion for those in need, and always had a wonderful smile and positive attitude. She and her family stood by me and my children through many difficult Sundays. We enjoyed sharing our new life with her and will never forget her. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be missed by all, but you will live in our hearts through cherished memories. Love from the Malloy family...John, Anita, Renee, Nina and Sean

Bobby had a zest for life. She loved art, music, reading, and the theatre; and was a true friend to persons from all walks of life. She volunteered for a variety of good causes and gave informative and entertaining tours at the Ringling. She will be missed.
