Chris Masterson a long time resident of Englewood, Fla. formerly of Hudson, NH passed away at Englewood Community Hospital on June 18,2011.
No service will be held per his request.
Chris is survived by his wife of 64 years, Irene Masterson; his children, Clyde and Nance Masterson, Kathy and Douglas Hardy, Cheryl and Mike Rivard, James Masterson, Chris Masterson, Fran and Rick Risucci, Patricia and Mario Tardif, John Masterson, 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, his nephews Richard Rose and his wife Lynn and Phillip Masterson and his wife Brenda.
A great man he will be dearly missed!

Dad I miss you more and more everyday! I still need you and guess I always will, there will never be anyone else who gets me and I miss that so much!! I know I should let you rest but I just can't. I love and miss you always!! Take care of Ma, Kathy,Gidget ,Johnny and you. I believe God has you close to him and that gives me great comfort!

Hey Gramps I just wanted to say I love you and miss you very much. It is hard to imagine that a man who sat in the background holding a "square" and not saying too much could touch so many. Maybe that is your lesson to us, you dont have to talk to be heard your nice way of telling us to be quite. We are not the quickest bunch haha.

I just learned of Chris's passing and feel compelled to share my condolences. Chris worked for me in the early nineties at United Van Lines in Venice. Chris was a hard worker, very dependable and a steadying influence for the younger people around him. Though he was serious about work...I will remember his warmth, humor and that familiar New England accent. I haven't seen Chris for nearly twenty years but he made a lasting impression. Best wishes to family who have lost a great man.
