Emmie Golden Johnston, 90, of Sarasota, FL, died on Dec. 7, 2012.
Survivors include her son, James Johnston and his wife, Marcia, of Bradenton, Florida, her daughter, Shirley Richardson and her husband, Alan, of Mooresville, North Carolina, her son, Charles Johnston and his wife, Peggy, of Sarasota, Florida; three sisters, Gussie Peak of Arlington, Georgia, Dorothy Carter of Quitman, Georgia, Jimmie Wall of Albany, Georgia; one brother, Ben Clenney of Albany, Georgia; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, December 11, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Toale Brothers Funeral Home Gulf Gate Chapel - 6903 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. The funeral service and interment will be private.
Remembrances may be made to Tidewell Hospice.

God Bless, comfort and console you all. God used My Aunt Emmie to bless me and I know she blessed others. Her devotion to her family was great. May all remember and cherish this example. Wish intently that I could be there.

Jimmy, Shirley & Charley, My thoughts & prayers are with at this somber time. Aunt Emmie & I had many conversations when we were in Ga. at the same time. She was so much fun & I loved her dearly. Know that God is holding her in the palm of His hand.

Shirley, Charles, Jimmy and all of family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I will not soon forget your Mother's smile and laughter. She had a great sense of humor. And of course was a favorite Aunt of mine.
