Joe Stumbo, 73 of Sarasota passed peacefully on September 5, 2018.
He was born April 10, 1945 in Martin, Kentucky and came to Sarasota 46 years ago from Washington D.C. A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, he ran a successful business, Drymon Stumbo Management here in Sarasota for 22 years.
Survivors include his daughters Kelly Bos(Kevin) and Amy Stumbo(Jason) both of Sarasota and his brother Bill Stumbo(Rose) of West Virginia.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Sarasota Memorial Park where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel is in charge.
Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Cat Depot.
