John Weaver Obituary

John Weaver

Sarasota - John B Weaver, 83, passed away October 3, 2021. He was born February 18, 1938 in Fredericksburg, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Anna Weaver.

He came to Sarasota in 1968 from Fredericksburg and was a member of Palm Grove Mennonite Church. He was a trim carpenter and enjoyed playing softball, guitar, checkers, shuffleboard and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Esther; son, Mark Weaver and is wife Kayecee; daughters, Anita Weaver and Michelle Weaver; brother-in law, Roy Weaver (Fannie); brothers; Roy Weaver; Robert Weaver and his wife Katie; Dan Weaver and his wife Barbara; sister-in-law, Verna (Benjamin Jr.); brothers; Pete Weaver and his wife Freida; Lester Weaver and his wife Ruth; and Malva Weaver and his wife Biena; sister, Lydiann Miller and her husband Wayne; grandchildren, Lucas Asher, Raquel Miller and her husband Kyle and Vivian Arredondo; great grandchildren, Xander, Xaler, Zaria and Xerxes Miller.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Benjamin Jr; sisters Sarah, Fannie and Susie Yoder; and sister-in-law Sue.

There will be a visitation on Friday, October 8th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday, October 9th from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Palm Grove Mennonite Church, 1087 S. Beneva Rd, Sarasota, Florida 34232. Funeral will begin at 10 followed by interment in Sunnyside Mennonite Church.
