Joseph Milner Obituary

Joe Milner, 88, of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully on January 15, 2018. He was born to Edward Theophilus Milner and Myrtle Bruner in Blevins, Arkansas, where he spent much of his youth. As a young man, Joe enlisted in the Navy. He served in the Korean War, for which he received a National Defense Service Medal and a Bronze Star. Joe reenlisted several times and retired in 1976 as a Naval Reservist. Joe was a very kind and gentle man, and a devout Christian. He is predeceased by his wife Hazel Ruth Milner. He is survived by four children, Donna Burnside, Debbie Matthews, Jim Milner and Darlene Warren, as well as 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Jennings Funeral Home, 5750 Swift Road, Sarasota, Florida on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
