Katherine Goodwin Obituary
Aug. 31, 1920 - Sept. 19, 2008
Katherine C. Goodwin, 88, Venice, formerly of Boylston, Mass., died Sept. 19, 2008.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the Chapel of Peace with services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Peace at Gulf Pines Memorial Park. Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Venice Chapel has been selected to care for arrangements.
Survivors include sons Robert "Mike" Tappin of Spencer, Mass., Matthew W. Tappin of Woodstock, Conn., and William S. Tappin of Webster, Mass.; brother William Delaney; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert W. Tappin and second husband Clinton B. Goodwin. She was born in South Ashburnham, Mass., the youngest of nine children. She was a graduate of the Cushing Academy and the Heywood School of Nursing, working as an R.N. at local hospitals and also for the American Red Cross. Katherine enjoyed playing the piano and organ, she was a fabulous cook, and hosted many international guests in her home. She was also extremely talented in artwork and craftwork.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the TCU at Hubbard Regional Hospital, 340 Thompson Road, Webster, MA 01570.
