Goldie R. Blum

Blum, Goldie R. age 94, of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2010. For many years she owned a jewelry and gifts store in Rockville Centre, N.Y. She was ahead of the curve in scouring the world for the beautiful and the unusual. Her sense of style and her ability to design were trend setting. Goldie was known for her generosity, her spirit, and her loyalty and love to friends and family. She was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Blum and her second husband, Sidney Smolka. She is survived by her sister, Edna (Mort) Nelkin; daughter, Nancy Wasserman; son, Paul (Carlyn) Blum; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Seeger and Michael (Abigail Rose) Blum; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Nathan Blum, and Charlie and Meredith Seeger. A heartfelt thanks to Rebecca Fine and the wonderful Staff at Bubbiesitters who provided a loving home that allowed her final years to be spent in grace and dignity. Our family is forever grateful.
