Kenneth E. Norris

Kenneth E. Norris, 86, Venice, died Dec. 8, 2004. He was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Grafton, W.Va., and came to Venice in 1981 from Pittsburgh. He retired as chairman of rolling operations at U.S. Steel after 45 years, and was a lifetime member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers and the Heisey Collectors of America. He was director of the Family History Center in Port Charlotte and served a mission in 1994-95 with the church's Family History Library in Salt Lake City. He was a member and elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Margaret B.; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Banzen of Venice; a son, retired Capt. Robert K.; a sister, Ruth A. Sanders of Crown Point, Ind.; brothers Walter and Donald, both of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A memorial service will be later. Farley Funeral Homes, Venice Chapel, is in charge.
