Mark Sutherland Obituary
July 26, 1954 - Aug. 7, 2007
Mark Q. Sutherland, 53, Venice, formerly of Belmont, Mass., died Aug. 7, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ewing Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Epiphany Cathedral, with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his lifetime friend and devoted former wife, Cheryl Sutherland Puntonio; a loving father and grandfather to his son, Christopher Sutherland and daughter-in-law Tara Ball of Venice; daughter and son-in-law Chalane (Sutherland) and Marshall Carson of Venice; grandchildren Mason Kolby Carson and Kaiden Mark Sutherland; mother Mary of Plymouth, Mass., mother- and father-in-law Vincent and Barbara Puntonio of Port St. Lucie; brothers Brian and Glenn of Kingston, Mass.; brother-in-law Vincent (Rick) Puntonio of Venice; sisters-in-law Debra Colarusso, Donna Puntonio and Paula Sevene; Godson Sean Sutherland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susan Alterisio Cardelle Charities, c/o John Alterisio, 2 Pleasant St., Burlington, MA 01803, or The Lunstagarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714.

What can I say...to my neice and nephew, I love u both, there is so much of your Dad in both of you and through u his memory will be with us forever. To my sister, You have the most memories to go on with. We all were fortunate enough that u brought him into our lives and I will always hold on to the happy memories we shared with you and Mark!!! I've known Mark and his brothers since we were in St Joseph's school together. He was a good guy and will be missed.
