What a sweet and wonderful man he was. I hope that his beloved children and grandchildren are doing well. I was privileged to be his personal trainer for many years.

I will never forget this sweet and gentle man, who always had a smile and a joke to share. I was his trainer at the Y, and whenever I asked him to do 12 reps, he´d always do 13, a baker´s dozen. I still remember this every time I´m working with someone. Marvin adored his family.

Marvin was a smart, hardworking, honest man who loved to share a joke (often a corny one!), truly a mensch. His family was everything to him. He was so friendly to everyone he'd encounter at the Y. He'd say "What does it cost you to smile and say hello? Nothing!!!"

Marvin was the true definition of the word mensch. When he came to the gym, he always brought a sunny disposition, and went out of his way to smile and say hello to people he'd never met. He'd say "Smiling at someone doesn't cost you a thing". I never heard him speak negatively about anyone. Such a kind man. He clearly adored his family, and treasured his friends. I am so glad I was able to spend time with him.

My condolences to Ron and Susan. I just read about your father's passing in a local Union County paper and was shocked to hear the news of your dad's passing. I will always remember his Valentine Day card collection and also what a great speaker he was. May your Dad rest in peace and know that that he is smiling down upon you.

I was lucky enough to be Marvin's personal trainer for about 10 years, first at the Berlin YMCA and later at Babe Weiller YMCA. I have never met a more kind, generous, honest and hard working man. He always had a smile and a joke to share with his fellow members. He amazed me with his sharp mind and strong body that kept him working for so many years. He was a dear, sweet man. My heart goes out to the family and friends that he treasured with his huge heart.
