Mrs. Melba A. Burton, 73, Hudson, N.H., formerly of Rotonda West and Nashua, N.H., died Dec. 26, 2008.
Services will be private.
She is survived by her son, Michael Burton, and his wife Pauline of Hudson, N.H.; a daughter, Lisa Shultz and her husband, Glenn, of San Diego; two grandchildren, Allison Courtney Burton of San Diego and Stephen Michael Burton on Hudson, N.H., as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born on Feb. 4, 1935 in Goffstown, N.H.; she was the daughter of the late Foteos (Frank) and Sophia (Kohowsky) Bardas.
Melba moved to the Nashua area at an early age and had been a resident ever since. She was a graduate of Nashua High School. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods and traveling to places such as St. Marten and California, where she would visit her daughter.
She spent her winters at her home in Florida.
Mrs. Burton also took pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Melba was predeceased by her husband, Earl C. Burton in 1987; one son, Steven Burton; a brother, William Bardas; and a sister, Helen Kamilaris.
