Robert Thomas DiCianni, Sr., 71, of Hickory, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at home in the presence of his loved ones.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Mon., Apr. 29, 2013 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hickory, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the Mass at 10:00 AM at the Church.
He was born June 12, 1941 in Camden, NJ. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy McCormick DiCianni.
Robert graduated with the first graduating class of Bishop Eustace High School and was a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Hickory and the Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with his loving grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and bocce player. Most recently, he was pursuing his Master Gardener Certification.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his two sons, Robert T. DiCianni, Jr. and his wife Belkis, of Panama, and William J. DiCianni and his wife, Caterina, of New Jersey; a sister, Kathy Bumgardner and her husband, Fred, of Ohio; seven grandchildren and two nephews.
