My 7th grade teacher in Windsor, Illinois back in 1961 was Robert F. Fleming. When I saw Mona Tyson say he was her uncle and she knew him when he lived in Illinois I thought this might be the same person that was my teacher. Robert and his wife taught me how to play tennis in the summer of 1960. He was a great man and teacher. I think he and his wife may have came to Windsor, Illinois from the Fairfield IL. area and taught in our school system.

Robert F. Fleming was my Uncle Bob. I spent a lot more time around him when he lived in Illinois, and my memories mostly revolve around tennis. Uncle Bob, Uncle Tom, my Dad, Max, and their father, Frank F. Fleming. Eventually I began to rotate into the mix for some of the best memories of my life.

I also remember that Uncle Bob had the strength of his convictions and a wonderful sense of humor. I wish we had had more time.

Coach was a great man. He went out of his way to make every child feel great about themselves!! He was and always will be my daughter's favorite coach. We were blessed to have known him.

Mrs Flemming, while I did not personally know your husband, I knew you. You was my 1st Grade school teacher at Burnt Prairie in the 1963-64 school year. My condolences.

Coach Fleming was one of the greatest men to live. He inspired so many Children at Christian academy and always went "beyond the call of duty" with making things special for his PE students. My daughter Cara loved him very much and he made a huge impact in her life. I thank God for such a wonderful man and know he is in a better place with God our Father. He had a heart of gold and I send my heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Fleming and family. Coach will never be forgotten. God Bless you.

I met Bob while I was in high school. We attended the same church and shared a love of softball. He was our coach and taught me a lot about playing the game. Darin and I would become close friends and play under Bob for several years. What a wonderful Godly man and teacher of the game. I will miss him dearly but will see him some day in heaven on a softball field giving someone a lesson on hitting. Rest in peace my friend.
