Dear Dawn and the entire Smith family, I just found out today of your loss, my heart is broken for the loss of a great guy. I never had the pleasure of meeting Bob in person but I spoke to him many times online and on the phone. Dawn he truly loved you, I know you knew that but sometimes it is nice to hear from others how he spoke fondly of you. As for his children and grandchildren he loved each and everyone of you and he spoke of you often over the past 12 years that I knew him. We lost contact in that we stopped talking but we would share the silly emails that we thought each other would enjoy. Bob always knew how to make you laugh when you most needed it. I know right now he would be teasing me that we have 42 inches of snow on the ground and it would be spring or summer like weather in Florida. I will always remember Bob as a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. My heart and prayers are with you all during this time of your grief!!! Truly, Anne ([email protected]) Harding

Dear Bob,

I met you twice long ago and as always we do not see the wisdom of each others life early on. Years passed and our families grew in number and still no realization of the impact our lives had for each other?
Now finally, I see the beauty of one son that was conceived out of your love for another and he is remarkable in all his ways. He is the father of my grandchildren and the legacy that you left on this earth to spans time itself. It is the gift of God and it is called our family.
Thank you for having been who you were in this life and allowing me to enjoy the lives that God made possible through you. Namely Rob,Ashley and Melanie. They miss and love you.
May you rest in peace knowing that you ran the race in this life and that you did a job well done.

In his love,
Kay

Dad,
Dawn called me today and wanted me to be put on the bank account in case something happened to her, I immediately thought call Dad and ask what he thinks, then I remembered. It was a hard day today for me. I thought about you a lot. I could not concentrate at work. I know you can't read this now but I feel this is the only way to communicate with you now. I left a voice mail on your phone too!

I remember when you were a diehard Skins fan like me. They would be playing Dallas and you'd setup chairs outside in the snow and 20 below weather and put on the chairs Cowboys rooting section. So funny.
