SHIRLEY ANN ALLES

SHIRLEY ANN ALLES, 84, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Vibra Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born April 10, 1933, in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Thomas) Cool. She helped to raise three generations of strong, independent women. She selflessly gave of herself whenever needed. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Kay (Wood) Bechtel of Austell, Georgia; sister, Sandra Bogema of Vicksburg, Mich.; eight grandchildren including Melissa (Scott) Allen of Fort Wayne; numerous great-grandchildren including Samantha (Vernon) Morgan of Waterloo, Raina Sexton of Lafayette, and Piper Farmer of Fort Wayne; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Linda Hyndman of Ligonier. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray Wood. There will be no service conducted. Memorials may be directed to the education fund for her great-granddaughter, Piper Farmer, in care of Melissa Allen. Feller & Clark Funeral Homes are handling arrangements.
