Susan McDonald Obituary
Sarasota - Susan "Sue" McDonald of Sarasota, FL passed away on the 1st of October 2021.
Sue was born on the 29th of September in 1959 to Joan and Robert Erdin in Hartford, CT. She was one of four children. Upon completing her Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, she went on to obtain her Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Beginning at age 50, Susan began training and competing in women's figure bodybuilding. She accomplished many first-place finishes over a five-year span. Two of her major accomplishments were winning the women's overall figure title at the Hartford Europa in 2012 and earning her professional card from the International Federation of Bodybuilders in women's figure. Sue also held certificates from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, MMA Conditioning Specialist and Group Personal Training Specialist. Susan had a passion for staying fit, working out, and eating healthy.
Sue is survived by her beloved husband Stephen and their sons, Ryan and Kellan of Sarasota, FL. As well as by parents Joan and Robert Erdin of Sarasota, FL, and siblings; Dave (Sally) Erdin of Sarasota, FL and Tom Erdin of Rockville, CT: uncles; Edward of Casey Key, FL, Larry of Wilmington, NC: aunts; Sue of Wilmington, NC, Phyllis of Green Valley, AZ. She also leaves behind her cousins, Glenna of Tampa, FL, Frank and Catherine of Wilmington, NC, Sandy of Manchester, CT, Chris of Green Valley, AZ.
Susan is preceded in death by her brother Phillip Erdin and aunt Diane Erdin.
Services will be held in private for Sue. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date in November of 2021.

I remember Sue from Penney High in East Hartford, CT.
Sue was so sweet and kind. Anyone who met Sue liked her. Condolences to her family. Sue will be missed by all her friends from CT.

I remember Sue from Slye School. Her and her family were always so nice to everyone. Every year they would invite the entire class over for an end of school year pool party. What a shame we lost touch. I know she will be missed by so many. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

When I picture Sue in my mind she is smiling, or laughing and such a beautiful person. I have many wonderful memories of her and everyone in our family loved her and will miss her. She was happy, and loved life and I know that she will bring love and light with her when she greets her friends and relatives that have passed before her. Rest In Peace, Sue and I will see you again one day.
