Tara Ord-Sidarovich Obituary

Tara D. Ord-Sidarovich, 20, Punta Gorda, vanished from her Punta Gorda home Oct. 1, 2001, and was found July 12, 2002, in Punta Gorda. She was born Oct. 30, 1981, in Scranton, Pa., and came to Punta Gorda two years ago from there. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School, where she was a basketball cheerleader and listed in "Who's Who of American Students." She had planned to attend Edison Community College and major in criminology. She was a jewelry sales associate for the Gold Isle at Port Charlotte Town Center Mall. Survivors include her mother, Sharon L. Ord, and her stepfather, Keith J. McPhillips, both of Punta Gorda; her father, Ronald P. Ord of Scranton, Pa.; a sister, Veronica L. Ord of Punta Gorda; a brother, Paul L. Ord of Punta Gorda; maternal grandmother, Jean Hughes of Avoca, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Rose Freeman of Scranton; paternal grandfather, Paul Ord of Scranton; and maternal great-grandparents Nick and Stacia Chipko of Avoca. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Abundant Life Assembly of God, 1500 Cooper St., Punta Gorda. Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Punta Gorda Chapel, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to The Nation's Missing Children Organization and Center for Missing Adults Inc., 2432 W. Peoria Ave., Suite 1283, Phoenix, AZ 85029.
