Winsey, Valentine Rossilli, Ph.D.

Age: 83
Residence: Sarasota, formerly of New York City.
Visitation:
Services: A memorial Liturgy will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is handling arrangements.
Survivors: Daughters Dr. Kim and Christina Winsey-Rudd, both of Sarasota; sisters Noreen Emme of New Jersey and Pia Kazan of New York; brothers Mario Rossilli of Englewood, Louis Rossilli of New Jersey, Ercole Rossilli of California, Anthony Rossilli of New Jersey and Gastone Rossilli of California; and eight grandchildren.
Eulogy:
Dr. Winsey was a professor of anthropology at Pace University, a published author and a champion of women's rights.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sierra Club, 85 2nd St., 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105.

I greatly admired and respected Dr.Valentine Rossilli Winsey. I shall miss her friendship and her sparkling wit.

It was my privilege to know her during her hospice stay and to be impressed by her deep devotion. It is not possible for me to attend the memorial but she remains in my prayers all this week. I'll visit her in Mary's garden at St. Thomas More.
