Rita became a part of my family as my sons were growing up. They knew her as "Crazy Lazy" and she would enthrall them with stories of her past. Her and I became "bingo buddies" and spent many a Friday night in Canada, returning at 5am the next day! She was always willing to help, as the time she drove us to Ohio to catch a train to D.C., and got stranded with my car in Ohio. She never complained, and we laughed about it later. I will miss all the games of "crazy eights" and euchre we played. Thanks for all the memories, Rita Jean Pookie. I love you and am glad you are finally free of pain. Michael and Spencer, your mother was a wonderful mom and a wonderful friend. She will be remembered always.

I'll miss my wonderful mother and dear friend. She was a great part of my life and happy she can dance without barriers and be with her family and friends who left before her. Heaven received a beautiful soul today. No more pain and with God.
