Ronald Rice

Rice, Ronald; beloved husband of Sally; went home to the Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2014; at the age of 79. He passed away peacefully at Highlands Regional Hospital, with Sally close by. Ron and Sally were childhood sweethearts, growing up in Stoystown, PA, and had been married 59 years. Ron worked for General Motors, Cadillac Division for 30 years. After retirement, the Rice’s resided in Spring Lake for 17 years, where they enjoyed being part of a community of dear friends. Ron loved to play golf and cards and surrounded himself with music, especially gospel Christian songs. He had an unwavering commitment to his Savior and the Rice’s were very active at Faith Lutheran Church for nearly 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Sally; and their children, Ron Jr. (Erin) and Michelle Brennan; six grandchildren, Kyle, Corie and Christine Rice, James and Craig Brennan, and Stephanie Lindsay; also great grandchildren, Jack McNellis and Eli Brennan. A Service will be held at the Lutheran Church in Stoystown and he will be Laid to Rest at Mizpah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Faith Lutheran Church at 2740 Lakeview Drive, Sebring, Florida 33870.
