Mr. Anthony Keith Maness II, 31, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 8, 2021.
Anthony was born April 11, 1990, in Cleveland County, to Anthony Keith "Tony" Maness and Gina Brown Maness. He was a loving husband that loved going to the movies, cooking, and listening to audio books. Anthony was always a joy to be around and never met a stranger.
Anthony was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Elsie Fisher; maternal grandmother, Brenda Brown; paternal grandmother, Brenda Propst; and paternal grandfather, Hubert Hudson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Hannah Woody Maness; brother, Daniel Maness; maternal grandfather, Gene Brown; and cousins, Ashley Edwards, Sara Edwards, and Eddie Edwards. Also surviving are many loving in-laws and friends.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 12, at 6 p.m., at Mtn. View Baptist Church with the Rev. Cory Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 6 p.m., at the church, prior to the service.

I had the pleasure of working with Anthony quite a bit over the past few years in relation to the restaurant. I am heart broken for his family. Anthony was always kind, eager to learn, motivated, and hysterical to work with. He was one of my memorable people. Healing thoughts to all those who knew him.

Tony, Gina, Hannah, and Family,
Anthony was always smiling and jolly each time I saw him. I remember when he and Hannah started dating. She was so very happy! I'm proud you were given the opportunity to love and enjoy him, but am so saddened at the sudden loss you are experiencing. Grief is emotionally hard and there are days you struggle to move forward. I cannot imagine the heartache you are experiencing after this tragic loss, but I know God will be there every step of the way. Lean on Him! He will not forsake you! Anthony and I graduated Burns high school back in 2009. Even though we went separate ways after school he always kept in touch even if it was just to say hey. He was a great man who knew how to put a smile on your face. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and his wife. Anthony will be missed.

Anthony was one of my best students at Burns Middle School, and I saw him a few years ago in Fallston. He remembered me, and we had a great conversation in the parking lot. To the family of Anthony
I don´t even know where to begin. Anthony and my son David Drewyour go back to young children . Anthony was always Davids saving Grace. I knew when Anthony was around even if he was 6 years old I knew David would be fine. One day many years ago I got to thank Anthony and give him a hug for always watching after David. I´m so glad I got the chance to do that. Anthony was a fine young man that was taken to soon. I do not know his wife but I´m sure he loved her with all his heart. Please know that our hearts are filled with sadness at this time . We have great memories of Anthony and he will be greatly missed.
