Blondie Lucille Scronce Beal

MAIDEN - Blondie Lucille Scronce Beal, 72, of East Maiden Road, Maiden, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. Born Dec. 18, 1937, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Kelly Odis Scronce and Minnie Catherine Helms Scronce. She was a member of Lawings Chapel Baptist Church and a former employee of Carolina Glove. In addition to her parents, a sister, Judy S. Fuller, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Frank Beal of the home; one son, Rick Scronce and wife, Linda, of Iron Station; two grandchildren, Chris Scronce and Toni Branch and husband, Rob, all of Maiden; two brothers, Odis Schronce and wife, Zella, of Newton and Randy Schronce and wife, Connie, of Granite Falls; and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 4 p.m. at Lawings Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden, with the Revs. Marion Powell and Paxton Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday, April 15, 2010, from 3 to 3:45 p.m. at Lawings Chapel Church in Maiden. At other times, the family will be at the home of Rick Scronce, 3583 Randleman Road, Iron Station.
