Brady Linkous Jr.

July 18, 1933 - February 15, 2022

Brady Linkous Jr., 88, of Hickory, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at Carolina Caring, surrounded by his family.

Born July 18, 1933, in Montgomery County, Va., he was the son of the late Brady Linkous Sr. and Vera Scott Linkous. He served in the Korean War as a medic and was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Brady was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Joan Linkous.

He is survived by two sons, Brady Linkous and wife, Karen, and David Linkous and wife, Donna; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park, Monday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Paul Deal officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse in Brady's name.
