Cletus Davis Jr.

April 1, 1929 - October 19, 2020

Cletus Davis Jr., 91, of Hickory, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Catawba County, April 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Cletus and Lottie Smith Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Detter Davis; and his son, Kenneth Davis.

Cletus was a member of Winkler's Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Linda Huffman Davis, of Hickory; grandson, Rodney Davis and wife, Cynthia, of Conover; great-granddaughter, April Davis of Hickory, Morgan Davis of Conover and Chloe Davis of Conover; and a great-grandson, Ethan Davis of Conover.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 25, from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., at Hickory Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Faulkenbury. Burial will follow funeral service at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to Conover Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 920 4th St. SW, Conover, NC 28613.
