David was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed playing baseball, softball, and golf. He attended Mitchell College, where he played baseball, and then "walked on" to play baseball at App. State. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church Hildebran. David loved bright colors and comfortable clothing, so the family invites you to wear something colorful and casual.

I spent a lot of time with "Cookie" at Hampton Heights. Iw was impossible for me to be around him and not laugh, he was always quick with a joke. It was also impossible for me to beat him at golf, he could play.

Hi Cindy, I´ve been a friend of Kathy´s since we were in middle school or before. I remember David always having a big smile and being nice to everyone. I talked with my brother, Lee, yesterday telling him about David. He was very sad. He told me David was his best friend from the Viewmont School Days, elementary school, so they were very young. Lee said they played baseball together, and hung out all the time doing what guys do. They were friends for many years and stayed in touch. We always remember close friendships we had when we were kids and David and Lee certainly shared that. I´m very sorry of David´s passing and will definitely keep you, your children, family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace David

Cindy and Family,
Sorry to hear about David, So many good times together, too numerous to count. He was one of a kind, always positive and ready to laugh about anything. All the ballgames and weekends we got to spend together will always be cherished memories. Hopefully, all of the good times you guys had as a family and your faith will help you through this tough time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God Bless you all.
