Dennis Dixon Obituary
July 2, 1958 - August 16, 2021
Dennis Wayne Dixon, 63, of Vale, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 2, 1958, in Pittsylvania County, Va., to the late Otis and Betty Roland Dixon. Dennis was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Hickory and employed with Catawba County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of Propst Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Terry Bynum.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Janet Allen Dixon of the home; sons, Andrew Dixon and wife, Brittney, of Hickory, Bradley Dixon and wife, Amber, of Vale; sisters, Sharon Bynum of Hickory, Teresa Dixon Parker of Hickory; grandchildren, Jordyn Dixon, Adalyn Dixon, Tucker Dixon and Kraegan Dixon.
A service to celebrate Dennis' life will be held Sunday, Aug. 22, at 3 p.m., at Providence Baptist Church in Hickory. The Rev. Chris Dale will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., at the church, prior to the service. The service can be viewed at www.facebook.com/ProvidenceBapChurch, or may be heard on FM radio station, 90.9, from the church parking lot.

To the Dixon Family, may our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ wrap his loving arms around you all and comfort now and in the time to come. Dennis was a dear friend and brother in Law Enforcement. We worked together on a lot of occasions and I will miss my friend and brother. I'm at a loss, it hurts so bad to lose a friend like Dennis as someone mentioned earlier he was one of kind and you could trust and Depend on. I love man God bless Family.
