Douglas Dreyer CONOVER Mr. Douglas Charles Dreyer, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Teaneck, N.J., the son of Charles and Blanche Poma Dreyer. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College, a U.S. Army veteran and retired after 43 years as an Investment Advisor. Doug was a volunteer at the Mayo Clinic (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and was a member of the Men's Golf Association of Rock Barn. A kind gentle person with a great sense of humor, he "lived" for golf and was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Joyce Dreyer; his five strong independent children, Chuck Dreyer and wife, Kristen, of Ashland, Mass., Suzanne Schultze and husband, Deke, of Acton, Mass., Susan Nelson and husband, Scott, of Connelly Springs, Sandra Phillis and husband, Tim, of Gilbert, Ariz. and Jennifer Hackett and husband, Craig, of Epping, N.H.; nine grandchildren, Kate and Meghan Dreyer, Maxine and Lucie Schultze, Jessica and Madison Nelson, Jack Phillis and Leah and Alanna Hackett; a brother-in-law, Thomas Hampson; and two nieces, Ashley and Alaina Hampson.
