Guy Lundquist Obituary

Guy Lundquist HICKORY Guy Edwin Lundquist, 58, of Gualala, Calif., formerly of Hickory, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, following a brief illness. Born Aug. 19, 1954 in Germany, he was the son of Nancy Lundquist and the late Carl Edwin Lundquist. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister. In addition to his mother, Nancy Lundquist of Texas, Mr. Lundquist is survived by two daughters, Kelsey Elizabeth Lundquist, and Mary Taylor Lundquist, both of Greensboro; a son, Thomas Gage Lundquist of Gualala, Calif.; four sisters, Karen Jarrett and husband, Park, Becky Winebarger, Nancy Coleman and Joni Lundquist; brother, Donald Lindquist; and a very special friend, Tracy Meager of Philadelphia, Pa. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Holy Trinity Chapel with the Rev. Dr. William B. Trexler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Online condolences may be left for the family at bass-smithfuneral home.com. Bass-Smith is serving the family of Guy Edwin Lundquist.

My prayers go out to the family. I knew Guy through where I work. he taught me all about splicing fiber. he was a great man to all of us. he will be deeply missed.
