Janet,
Our deepest sympothies to you and family. We will miss Rev. Drum deeply, as he was there for us when Miriam had to undergo her very serious surgery for brain tumor removal and counseled Miriam and I during the hard time period we endured with our daughter Christina. I will never forget all the stories he told me about growing up on the Cline farms with our ancestors. Most of all, we really enjoyed all his sermons on Sundays at Mt. Zion and the funny lines he would occasionally throw in to get his point across. He will always be in our memories as a close cousin and dear friend. God has surely passed him through the heavenly gates to live in heaven!

Drum family,
We am sorry to hear about the loss of Pastor Drum. He was a very sweet, nice, loving man. We really do miss him, and it touched our heart sadly. You all are in our prayers, and we are sorry we aren't able to make it to the funeral, but may God keep him peacefully in heaven with him.

Pastor Harold was very loved by so many members at Mt. Zion. He helped our Sunday School class understand so much and he cared so for everyone. Go rest high upon that mountain Pastor Harold and breath the fresh air!
Janet and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Harold touched many lives in his time here. It is amazing. I just received a call here at work when someone who he touched, inquired about the arrangements and expressed their condolences. It was very difficult. It had not totally sunken in that he would not be present at anymore of Evan's wonderful Sunday dinners (Harold loved them so much, or he said he did), or be present for the girls Christmas play at church (he always had something cunning to say), or see him enjoying the outdoors. He loved to just walk around the yard and check out the scenery enjoying the environment, and just life in general. He was most definitely loved and will be very missed.

With love from the Evan Drum family,

Janet, you have my most heatfelt prayers and love during this difficult time. Harold was a dear colleague and we had many close bonds. Probably the most remarkable one was the time he visited my Mom in the hospital and she died while he was with my sister and me. It was very comforting to have him guide us at that time.

I have many wonderful memories of our service together at Mt. Zion. I am very sorry that I will not be able to attend the memorial service as I remember that he always wanted me to chant Psalm 23. I will sing it during the time of the ceremony and maybe he will hear it. I had a choir member to die at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and I will be attending her funeral. May God be with you. Much love and care, Ray McNeely Topsail Beach, NC.
