Judy W. Watson MORGANTON Judy Whisnant Watson, 64, of Morganton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center following a period of declining health. Ms. Watson was born April 29, 1949, in Oregon to the late Johnnie Whisnant, and was raised by Geneva and George Huffman. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include her companion, Dermid Punch, of the home; her children, Johnnie Punch and wife, Rosalie, of Morganton, Steven Punch, of Morganton, Mark Punch and wife, Kim, of Vale, Lisa Butler and husband, Travis, of Morganton, Sylvia Isenhour and Todd, of Conover and Joshua Morgan, of Morganton; and 13 grandchildren, Johnnie Punch Jr. and Sarah Anne Punch, Brandon Punch, Douglas Punch, Katelyn Punch, Sarah Punch, Brittiany Roberts, Austin Butler, Ethan Punch, Chloe Punch, Dakota Lail, Luke Isenhour and Cadence Morgan. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings, George Huffman Jr., of Hickory, Gail Jenkins, of Hickory, Toni Huffman, of Hickory, Carol Allen, of Morganton, Lavada Linquist, of Texas and Jannett Laveto, of Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Fellowship Baptist Church, with the Revs. George Huffman Jr. and Chris Huffman officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
