Kim Reitzel Obituary
She is survived by:
Her devoted, loving husband of 44 years: Tommy E. Reitzel, 3 Children - son, Scott Reitzel of Phoenix, AZ, son, Evan Reitzel of Muenster, Germany and daughter, Aubrey Reitzel of Chicago, IL, older brother, Stewart Cloer and wife Tondra of Galveston, TX, nephew, Stewart Cloer II and niece, Mary Cloer Doss and husband James, all of Texas, older sister, Ellen Cloer Davis Schaller and husband James of Blowing Rock, NC and nephew Ryley Davis of Florida.
To know Kim was to know joy in motion. She walked like she was going somewhere, because she was. She was curious, spirited, and unafraid to stand firm in her values. Her compassion ran deep, her honesty ran true, and her laugh could fill a room and lift every heart in it.
Kim was, without question, the best mother. She loved traveling the world to share in her children's lives and help build their dreams. She found happiness in simple things: a new garden bloom, a hidden thrift treasure, any of the many pets across the family and watching her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturdays in the fall.
Kim would want laughter, good stories, and everyone to travel curiously more and make sure every creature is given a little extra love.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Special acknowledgement to: The compassionate and unwavering staff at Duke University hospital as well as all of the devoted prayer warriors who supported Kim and her family through every step of the journey.
