Myrtle Robinson Obituary
August 27, 1926 - December 24, 2023
Myrtle Fox Robinson, 97, of Hickory, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her home. The daughter of the late Harvey Lester Fox and Delia Arzula Bostain Fox, she was a member of Tri City Baptist Church. She was married to the late Rev. Ernest C. Robinson, Sr., for 61 years, where he was an interim Pastor and she helped minister alongside him in numerous churches. She specialized in the caring of many people.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son Ernie Robinson, one brother and three sisters. She is survived by son, Doug Robinson (Carol); daughter, Lisa Owen (Tony); daughter in law, Iris Robinson; four grandchildren, Sean Robinson (Misty), Jennifer Owen (Barry), Kristen Webber (Josh) and Corey Robinson (Margaret); five great grandchildren, and another great grandson arriving in June.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 1 p.m., in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home, Hickory with Pastor Byron Repass officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 12 p.m.
The family would like to thank all of her care givers, Deborah, Candy, Betty, and Carolina Caring Nurses, Dana, Tosha, Kathy, and Tara.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring; 3975 Robinson Rd., Building 3, Suite A, Newton, NC 28658.
