Robert "Bob" Murphy Hefner, 83, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 at Trinity Ridge in Hickory.
He was born May 11, 1937, to the late Murphy Roscoe Hefner and Rita Muriel Fagan Hefner in Catawba County.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Setzer Hefner of the home; daughter, Celeste Crump of the home; granddaughters, Alyssa Hull and husband, Daniel of Hickory and Kylie Crump of the home; great-grandchild, Charlotte Hull; sisters, Linda Trussell and Juley Ausmus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Bob's wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family will be at the home for anyone who would like to visit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658; or Transformation Church in Hickory, 306 14th St. SW, Hickory, NC 28602.
